JOEL GOES ON SATELLITE TV INTO IRAN FOR TWO DAYS, SHARES GOSPEL, BIBLE PROPHECY WITH MILLIONS OF SHIA MUSLIMS

My dear friend Hormoz Shariat — the most watched and listened to Iranian evangelist in the world — invited me to join him on his live satellite TV program into Iran on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here are a few highlights: Each show was 90 minutes long. Hormoz asked me to share how I became a follower of Jesus Christ with a Jewish father and nominal Christian Gentile mother. He asked me why Jews are considered the “chosen people” in the Bible and why many Iranians are bothered by the idea that maybe God loves Jews more than Iranians. God just decided in His sovereignty to choose the Jews to reveal Himself to the world, to send the Bible through us, to send the Law through us, and to send the Messiah through us. I’m excited to report that two Iranian Shia Muslims called in to pray to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord!

Freed American missionaries fly out of Haiti

clipped from uk.news.yahoo.com Eight American missionaries flew out of Haiti on Wednesday after a judge ordered them freed, but two of their colleagues remained in detention for further questioning on charges of kidnapping children. Skip related content The 10 Americans, most of whom are members of a Baptist Church in Idaho, were arrested last month on charges that they tried to take 33 Haitian children out of the country without proper documentation after the devastating January 12 earthquake in Haiti. The judge found no evidence of criminal intent among the eight who were freed. But he ordered group leader Laura Silsby and another woman, Charisa Coulter, held for further questioning about their previous trips to Haiti. they had no Haitian identity or exit papers for the children. Many had living parents who acknowledged turning the children over to the missionaries in the belief they would have better care in the hands of the Americans.

The Pilgrim's Progress

I actually saw this whole thing for the very first time the other day with my kids. The Pilgrim's Progress. I have to say a was very impressed. As we all walk through this life we look at the people and the things in this world to answer the many questions of life, instead of looking to the one who created it.

Watching this with the kids they really were able to understand and laugh as they learned. We need to remember. This short life of ours is not the end of Life. Jesus Christ died so we might choose to go home in a true Paradise.
